Who we are
Sense/Net Holdings, Inc. and its subsidiaries (“Sense/Net”, “we”) are responsible for the personal information described here. Our address is 2240 Tessaro Street, Los Angeles, California 90021.
Visitors to this website
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from any other site. Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (address, time, page requested and browser) for security, for up to 30 days. If you write to one of our mailboxes, we keep your message for as long as we need it to reply and for two years after.
Viewers using the Sense/Net Player
- Account: your name, email address, region and age band.
- Playback: which titles and which edition you played, when, and on which certified device; and the comfort reports you send.
- Device signals: whether the headset senses that your eyes are closed, so that playback can pause. This signal is used on the device and is not sent to us.
We do not keep a record of what you saw in an adaptive edition: only which title and edition you played.
Performers and participants
For performers we keep contact and payment details, the consent session recording, signed releases and the recordings themselves, including the Breath and Heart tracks where a performer agreed to them. For released extras we keep the release and a reference image, which forms part of the register of released participants. These records are described in the Consent Standard and kept as it says.
People who appear in reference material
Reference material used to develop our production tools is supplied by licensors under their own terms, which govern its collection. We use it only within our training environment, apply blurring before any frame is shown outside it, and do not attempt to identify anyone in it.
Applicants and researchers
We keep applications for two years, and reading-room bookings for five, then delete them.
Sharing
We share personal information with the companies that host our services and process payments for us, under contracts that limit what they may do with it; with performers’ representatives, at the performer’s request; and with courts and authorities where the law requires it, as reported in our transparency reports. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you the right to see the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to some uses and to take it elsewhere. Write to privacy@sensenetstudios.com; we reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to your local data protection authority.
California residents
In the last twelve months we collected the categories of personal information described above: identifiers, commercial information (titles played), internet activity (request logs), audio and visual information and biometric information (performers only, with consent), and professional information (applicants). We have not sold or shared personal information as those terms are defined in California law, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. You may exercise your rights under California law by writing to the address above, or through an authorized agent.
Changes
We will post any change here with its effective date. Earlier versions are available on request.
