— Sense/Net today completed the purchase of three sound stages and their support buildings on Penhallow Street in Sun Valley, in the northeast San Fernando Valley. Terms were not disclosed.

The stages will be used for first-person production from early next year. The company’s headpiece workshop and its costume department will move from downtown to the site, and a single-story building beside Stage 1 will be fitted out for performers, with dressing rooms and two rooms for consent sessions.

Delia Sorensen, head of production since 2011, becomes president of Sense/Net Studios, the company’s production business, and will be based at Sun Valley. “We have been renting other people’s stages for twenty-six years,” she said. “The work we do needs rooms that are built around the performer, and now we can build them.”

Post-production, business affairs and the executive offices remain at the company’s headquarters on Tessaro Street.
